Business Purpose Lending Framework
- Licensing Status: 🟢 Open / No License Required for independent mortgage brokers and originators closing business-purpose real estate loans.
- Borrowing Entity: Both individual vesting and legal entity vesting (LLC, Corporation, LP) are permitted.
- Homestead Protections: Texas Section 50(a)(6) homestead restrictions apply strictly to primary residential owner-occupied properties and do not apply to investment, rental, or business-purpose commercial real estate.
- Closing Protocols: All transactions must close through an authorized Texas title company or licensed closing attorney.
